Moose/wildlife "biospheres" I've often wondered if some species of wild wildlife have their own "biosphere". Certainly some trees just outside the area have a different community than the ones in the local park. Are there any species that are so big or so extreme in their life cycle that they can't use the same food resources as us? In other words, are their food sources taken away from them due to their size and their need to eat on a daily basis? I was thinking about an area like the Yellowstone super volcano, where geysers provide a water source. Are there other wildlife species that would be affected by the fact that the geyser water is constantly changing and changing water would likely be a greater problem than just the lack of the fountains? Water is also harder to come by in these warmer weather than it used to be. The Yellowstone area has all these moose and elk because they can survive in the area that surrounds the geyser basin. I wonder if a lot of the wildlife in the area will not be able to live there, at least not for very long. Are there other wildlife species that would be affected by the fact that the geyser water is constantly changing and changing water would likely be a greater problem than just the lack of the fountains? There are various species that can not live in the area of the geyser basin that can be called a biosphere because most of them live in really marginal habitats. The problem with Yellowstone is that the geyser basin has been altered by humans. Oftentimes the water is at different temperatures than nature Asante dictionary of Swahili Kiswahili dictionary .
